Salt, water, and compression keep you functional. But you're still not better. That's because nobody found the mechanism driving your POTS. We do.

You did everything right. You found a doctor who recognized POTS. You got the diagnosis. You started the protocol — salt tablets, compression stockings, fluids, maybe midodrine or a beta blocker.
And maybe it helped. Maybe it didn't. Either way, you're not better.
Here's what nobody told you:
POTS is a description, not an explanation.
It tells you your heart rate goes up when you stand. It doesn't tell you why. And there are multiple reasons why that happens — each requiring completely different treatment.
Standard POTS treatment leans heavily on one lever: blood volume. More salt, more fluids, medications that manipulate fluid retention or vascular tone. It's the most commonly targeted mechanism — whether or not it's actually your problem.
For some patients, blood volume is the issue, and these interventions work. For others, they're treating a mechanism that isn't broken — while the actual cause goes unaddressed.
That's why you're still symptomatic. The lever everyone keeps pulling may not be your lever.
At The Keiser Clinic, we don't just confirm your POTS diagnosis. We go looking for the mechanism that's actually driving your symptoms.
We measure actual blood flow to your brain — not just heart rate. Using transcranial Doppler, we watch blood velocity in real time as you change positions. We assess how your autonomic system regulates vascular tone and whether your blood vessels respond appropriately to demands.
Your vestibular system, cerebellar timing, and oculomotor control all directly affect autonomic function. If your brain is misinterpreting signals or miscalibrating responses, your heart rate will respond to threats that don't exist. We test these systems specifically.
Cervical instability, positional compression, and musculoskeletal irritation can all affect blood flow and autonomic signaling. Standard imaging done lying still misses these. We use dynamic testing to see what happens when you actually move.
We don't assume we know your mechanism.
We test until we find it.
You'll talk directly to a Keiser Clinic physician — not a scheduler, not a salesperson. We want to understand your symptoms, how long you've had them, what you've tried, and what hasn't worked.
Based on your history and symptom pattern, we'll tell you honestly whether our approach is likely to help. If we don't think we can, we'll say so — and point you toward resources that might.
If it looks like a good match, we'll walk you through what evaluation involves: the tests we run, what we're looking for, and realistic expectations for what's possible.
This is not a sales call. We'd rather tell you "no" than have you invest time and money in an approach that won't help your specific situation. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you directly.
